Art that helps Animals
My mission behind Aimee Black Art is more than just creating beautiful artwork for animals lovers, I am also passionate about raising money for animals in need. A portion of my artwork supports animal charities doing incredible work rescuing and caring for animals.
Pet Portrait Donations
For each pet portrait commission, I donate $10 to an animal shelter or charity that is close to my heart. It’s a small way to give back — so your portrait not only celebrates your own pet, but also helps support animals in need.
One of the charities I support is Bendigo Animal Welfare & Community Services (BAWCS). BAWCS is special to me because it’s the shelter where my partner Dave and I adopted our beautiful cat, Lucy.
BAWCS is Victoria’s first “no kill” shelter and provides a caring, enriched and safe home for animals for as long as needed. They offer lifelong sanctuary to animals with special needs who may not be suitable for adoption.
I also love that they provide support to disadvantaged pet owners, helping ensure that animals can stay with the people who love them.

A not-for-profit farm sanctuary in Victoria providing a safe haven for rescued farmed animals, while promoting kindness and compassion towards all animals.
Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services
A local “no kill” shelter offering care, rehabilitation and lifelong sanctuary for animals in need, while also supporting vulnerable pet owners to keep their animals at home.
A volunteer-run wildlife shelter located in Central Victoria dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned native animals back into the wild.
A Victorian based rescue organisation focused on fostering and rehoming retired racing greyhounds, helping them transition into loving family homes.
Wildlife Victoria
Wildlife Victoria provides rescue and care for injured, sick and orphaned native animals. Their work supports the protection of wildlife affected by road trauma and habitat loss.
An international charity working to rescue and rehabilitate bears from the illegal wildlife trade, providing them with safe, enriched sanctuary environments.
